I made my first trip
to Arizona this winter, and was able to take in the races at Phoenix
International Raceway.
The weather was beautiful, and three days in the sun at PIR
felt great!
The east hill at PIR on Sunday.
Walking behind the grandstands during the taxi
cab parade on Saturday,
I found these neat old Edmunds Sprinters on display.
This car was particularly interesting, as Roger
Rager, the first driver
listed on the board, is back racing sprints in
Minnesota, Iowa and
South Dakota.
I have a few more pictures of USAC sprints, that
I will post
at a later date.
There were not many oppurtunities to get pictures
of the cars participating
in the Copper World Classic, so I hope you enjoyed
these!
What a neat old Buick. I seen this in the
lot at PIR and had to take a
picture of it. This guy was following me
around all weekend. He did give
me a package of string cheese, so he's ok.
If you enjoyed these pictures, I will post some
more of this type. Drop me a line at the
Message Board if you liked them.
These photos are owned by DSP. Everything
is negotiable.
